Refractometer

The Refractometer evolved from hand-held optical devices to sophisticated digital devices. Early analog refractometers required a trained operator to interpret the results. However, the development of digital technology has led to the creation of automatic digital refractometers that can provide more accurate and faster readings.

In addition, some advanced digital refractometers have advanced capabilities such as the ability to store data and perform multiple measurements simultaneously. These advances have enabled greater efficiency and accuracy in laboratory work and have made the refractometer an even more valuable tool.

Types of Refractometers that a Laboratory may require

Optical Refractometer

The Honey Refractometers are designed to work with sugar related liquids such as high sugar content, honey, jelly, jam and syrup to help monitor and control sugar concentrations in foods and beverages. Another function is for checking the “ripeness” of fruit in the field. It can verify product quality after harvesting and/or controlling concentrations during processing and packaging and it provides critical information to ensure quality of every product.
This models can also be used for controlling the concentration of various industrial fluids such as cutting lubricants and flux rinsing compounds.

Digital Refractometer

Digital Brix Refractometer is designed to measure the concentration of soluble solids (almost 100% sugar) in aqueous solutions of sugar content of solution such as fruit juice, syrup, puree, ade, coffee drinks, cocoa drinks, soft drinks, water-soluble cutting oil, water-soluble washing solution, etc.
As well as measuring refractive index of solution.
